VERSACE model 2130 is inspired by Gianni’s late eighties, early nineties sunglasses shapes and ornaments. Here we have typical VERSACE language/DNA translated into eyewear. We see the greca motive, the gold metal, the tortoise acetate and the infamous Medusa head logo!
Model 2130 is a perfect example of a fashion house sticking to it’s heritage in a respectful way by updating the technology of how to produce sunglasses and keeping the shapes clearly connected to the brands roots.
The lense is one visor shaped cover without a frame. The only thing covering it is a golden metal greca ornament over the bridge.
The temples are directly screwed to the lense via two screws per temple. Each temple bares the Medusa logo on the outter parts. The inner sides carry the VERSACE brand name on the right and the model’s name/number on the left.
VERSACE model 2130 was produced in Italy by LUXOTTICA for the VERSACE spring/summer 2012 collection. They were available in four temple colors: tortoise, blue tortoise, full black and and black tortoise.
